About Counselling Care
Counselling Care is led by Dr Bill Merrington
Bill initially gained experience in counselling in a residential home for those who felt suicidal. He has a PhD in Psychology, specialising in the subject of bereavement in families. He has written a number of books for adults and children, including manuals for the counselling of bereaved children.
Bill has spoken at national and international conferences for the British Association of Counsellors, Relate, Cruse and the Association of Christian Counsellors. He has lectured for several years at Cambridge University and has carried out research in Britain, Lebanon and Africa with Warwick University.
He is an accredited counsellor with ACC and has carried out PTSD work in schools in Warwickshire and Coventry for the County Council and Coventry Relate.
